  • Surgery Is Done, But There's More To Come

I just wanted to provide an update for everyone. I had surgery on 6/18/25. They removed my uterus, fulopian tubes, cervix, and some lymph nodes for testing.

I was inpatient for a few days, but today I'm finally home. I have follow up with the surgeon on 7/7/25 to discuss further treatment options now that pathology has come back on the lymph nodes and we will take it from there.

I'm in pain, but happy to be alive. I am going to rest but still have minimal activity to prevent blood clots per orders.

I still need your help to share, contribute and encourage others the same with this fundraiser. We have a ways to go and I appreciate you all SO MUCH 💖!

YOU'VE ALL BEEN MY ANGELS UNAWARES and I'm grateful the Lord touched your hearts to show kindness to me in the darkest moments of my life with this diagnosis. I'm not cancer free yet, but we're headed there. AMEN.

God bless you all and from the depths of my being I thank you for your love, prayers, and support.

About this fundraiser

Hi everyone, my name is Ashley Marie Ramirez aka Cookie, and my husband and I are reaching out for your support during one of the most challenging times of our lives. In May 2025, I received a devastating diagnosis of endometrial cancer. The past weeks and months have been a whirlwind of appointments, hospital stays, multiple blood transfusions, cardiac tests, Endometrial biopsies, and harsh new realities accompanied by difficult decisions.

My treatment plan involves expensive medicines, a full hysterectomy with lymph node removal  surgery inpatient to monitor my heart post op for a few days,. Then once healed from surgery chemotherapy or radiation after in-patient surgery,  and while I'm incredibly grateful for the medical team caring for me and your prayers and well wishes, the financial burden of all this is quickly becoming overwhelming. Despite having insurance, the co-pays for my care are substantial. In addition, I'm facing significant out-of-pocket costs for critical medications, like Entresto with no generic that is building up my heart strength and a powerful yet costly drug at $846.62 per 30 day supply amongst other meds which are essential for my treatment plan, recovery, and ongoing well-being due to getting to a weak 30% capacity due to do much blood loss and working hard to keep my organs from failing.

These costs alone are estimated to be thousands of dollars per month. Beyond the direct medical costs, my ability to work has been severely impacted by the treatments and my recovery. This has put additional strain on our ability to cover essential living expenses like rent, utilities, and groceries now. I'm starting this  Give A Hand Medical Fundraiser to help alleviate some of this financial stress so I can focus all my energy on healing.

Funds raised will go directly towards: * Co-pays for all visits concerning my Cancer treatment with surgery and radiation. * Prescription medications not fully covered by insurance. * Other essential and pressing financial responsibility like basic living expenses during my recovery period and treatment duration. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a profound difference and be met with immense gratitude. If you're unable to donate, sharing my campaign with your network would also be incredibly helpful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, generosity, and support during this difficult journey. I am fighting with everything I have, and your help means the world to us.

With love, gratitude, praise, and hope,

Ashley Marie "Cookie" & Vincent "Panda" Ramirez
