Hi,

My name is Cynthia Livingston-Greene. 
In December of 2023 my life was once again changed forever. 

While everyone was excited about the coming holidays; I was still mourning and dreading the first Christmas without my only son that I had lost a few months prior. 

Praying for strength while waiting to hear of results from a tumor finding. 

On December 26th, 2023 to my surprise I was diagnosed with 2 different types of Breast Cancer. 

With my mind racing a hundred miles a minute just wondering what is the next step about this new chapter in my life. 

I believed the biggest challenge was trying to get my mind settled a bit for the holidays but I never would have thought that I would’ve been thinking about Cancer.

My biggest fear was for my grandchildren and my 2 daughters. Concerned about how they would take more bad news during one of the most difficult times that we have been moving through.

On February 14, 2024 I underwent surgery for the removal of two tumors which ultimately ended in a Double Mastectomy. 

As I navigate my recovery journey, I am already feeling the weight of financial hardship and uncertainty. 

Despite my courageous battle against Breast Cancer, the delay in my  benefits has left me in a struggle to cover essential housing expenses and bills. 

Between appointments from my Primary, Oncologist, Cardiologist, and Surgeon, I am being seen at least 3 times a week.

Through all of this I am still so very thankful for life. God is continuing to stand by and strengthen me as the days pass. 

This recovery will be long but I will continue to lean on my family, friends, support groups, and Faith.

I could really use your support to help lift the burden of financial hardship. 

As you finish reading this I am also open to just a prayer for strength and understanding for myself and my family, alongside full healing of my body.
