I'm reaching out because my beloved cat, Batty, is in desperate need of medical help, and I can’t afford the care he requires. Batty came into my life on March 30th, 2024, when I adopted him from a local shelter. He’s been such a joy, but recently, his health has taken a serious turn.

This past July, I took Batty to the vet after he stopped eating, started gagging, and became very sick. With the help of a $150 voucher, we discovered he had a severe ear infection. Thankfully, after treatment, he bounced back and was doing well. Unfortunately, the symptoms have returned—this time, much worse. He’s now completely stopped eating, his breath is terrible, he’s gagging again, and he’s in visible pain.

On October 19th, I managed to take him to the vet again and paid $153.70 out of pocket. The vet suspects that Batty’s issues are dental-related, but they can’t be sure without further tests. His next appointment is set for October 28th, where they will need to sedate him, possibly perform extractions, and run tests to rule out anything more serious, like tumors. The vet estimated the cost to be at least $350, but if he needs teeth extractions or other procedures, it will likely be much higher.

Right now, I simply cannot afford the upcoming vet bills, and it breaks my heart to see Batty suffer. He’s such a special part of my life, and I want to do everything I can to help him. I’ve tried reaching out to local resources, but I haven’t had any luck.
