On August 31, 2025, my life changed overnight when I had to undergo emergency spine surgery. I spent a week in the hospital followed by nearly a month in inpatient occupational and physical therapy, and I haven’t been able to fully recover since.
Since then, my health has continued to decline—not just related to my spine, but across multiple chronic conditions I live with every day, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, dysautonomia, functional neurological disorder, Raynaud’s, GERD, gastroparesis, fibromyalgia, bipolar disorder, and depression.
I also struggle with hypoglycemia and hypoglycemia unawareness, likely related to my gastroparesis and EDS. Because of this, I rely on continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) to help keep me safe—but my insurance does not fully cover them.
The payment I’m asking for help with is to cover the remaining cost of these CGMs, which are essential for monitoring my blood sugar and preventing dangerous lows.
Because of my health, I haven’t been able to return to work, and these medical costs have become overwhelming.
All I want is the chance to move forward. My goal is to go to school for psychology and eventually become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner so I can help others who are struggling like I am.
Right now, I’m just trying to stay afloat while managing my health. Any support—whether it’s donating or simply sharing—means more than I can express 🤍
