About this fundraiser

Hello,

My name is KeAndra. I am 33 years old, I am married and I have 3 children. I am starting the fundraising because I need help paying for dental work. My husband is a truck driver who has been the soul provider for the past 6 years. We have 3 daughters that I have stayed home to raise because it’s cheaper for me to stay home than it is to pay for child care.
I started going to the dentist very young, at about 4 years old. My mother made sure that we (my brother and I) seen the dentist regularly. Going to the dentist wasn’t the problem, the problem was that we had medicaid and the did not use the best materials or provide the best care for people who received it. When I was 20, I went to a dentist to have a fill-in because I knew my insurance was about to stop. (In the state of Tennessee, when you turn 21, you were cut off of Medicaid until 2022.) The dentist I seen really did a bad job on my tooth and I ended up losing is a few year later. By this time I had birth two children; my first passed away shortly after birth, my second is now 14. I started to realize that every-time I got pregnant, my teeth became weaker. I had another child at 26 and lost a tooth while I was pregnant with her, then at 28 I had another child. At this point I had birthed 4 children and lost 4 teeth. The end of 2022 I got pregnant again and we found out early on that our baby had a birth defect and she wouldn’t live. We delivered her at 26 weeks and she passed 3 hours later. I have since lost 2 more teeth, they just seem to be falling out one after the next! With your donation I will be able to eat without tearing my gums up, Please help me fix my smile!
