About this fundraiser

Hi. My name is Michelle and I’m fundraising because I’m suffering from Breast Implant Illness (BII) and the only hope of cure is to remove my breast implants along with capsules & scar tissue around the implants. Not many people have ever heard of it and although it’s been known about for some time, it only became named as a medical diagnosis recently. Unfortunately, the insurance companies are not up to speed as far as covering the explant surgery. I’ve had a multitude of unexplained symptoms to which I’ve not been able to get relief. I have been suffering with migraines, skin rashes, anxiety, loss of eyesight, depression, severe brain fog, hair loss, extreme fatigue and food sensitivities, just to name a few. Some breast implants are even causing a type of cancer exclusive to breast implants. That’s why it critical to remove all of the scar tissue as well. I did not know what was happening to me and was very concerned for myself.

I not only need assistance in paying for this procedure, I felt it important to spread the word about breast implant illness. It’s real and can have devastating consequences. If you know anyone with breast implants who are experiencing a myriad of unexplained symptoms, please let them know about breast implant illness so they can do their research on it and go from there. Most doctors are not familiar with it, and hopefully that will change. This illness is not caused by leaking, it’s caused by a toxic load caused by your body no longer wanting the foreign objects in your body. It messes up all hormones/hormone regulated systems in your body. You have to be your own best advocate, especially when all the doctors are telling you that all your tests are normal.

The FDA has now included black warning box labels on breast implants and says they will conduct more studies. They have a long way to go.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your support!
