đź’› My Sister, DaeneneÂ
My sister has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Appendix Cancer — an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer that turned her entire world upside down in a matter of hours.
It’s unbelievable how fast life can change. Just a few weeks ago, on September 24, I was scrolling through our texts — the two of us sending each other ridiculous videos, teasing each other, laughing like we always do. Then, only a couple of days later, she told me she was waiting on blood test results because her leg had been giving her intense pain. Hours later, the results came in… and everything changed.
She is one of the funniest, strongest, and most beautiful souls I know. And right now, she’s facing a fight no one should ever have to face. As her older brother — who has protected her, loved her, and looked out for her since she was a baby — I am devastated. I would take this from her in a heartbeat if I could.
But this is bigger than me.
Her diagnosis means she cannot continue working — not at her job, and not at any job — because her treatment schedule and her health simply won’t allow it. Her husband, Brian, is doing everything he can and will be working as much overtime as possible, but this is going to be incredibly difficult for them financially.
So I’m reaching out with all the love in my heart to ask for your prayers, your kindness, and, if you’re able, any donation that can help them during this overwhelming time. Your support would help with some of her medical bills and, most importantly, help them stay afloat while she fights this battle without the ability to work.
There is nothing in this world I wouldn’t do for my sister. Your love and support — in any form — would mean more to us than you could ever know.Â
Thank you… truly… from the deepest part of my heart. For your prayers, your kindness, your generosity, and even just taking the time to read this — it means more to me and my family than I could ever put into words. I am forever grateful for every single one of you. God bless you. ❤️🙏
Only the Very Best Always,
Watson Miller
