About this fundraiser

Dear friends and family, I am writing to you today with a heavy heart. As you may know, our Dad, Russ Foster, has recently been diagnosed with dementia and significant cerebral atrophy. This devastating news has come as a shock to our entire family, and we are still trying to process what it means for our future. Russ is a loving husband of 28 years, father, and uncle of 9 nephews and nieces.  He is a kind and generous man who has always put others before himself. He is also a hard worker and a dedicated provider for our family. Now, as he faces this new challenge, we are asking for your help. Dementia is a progressive disease that attacks the brain and causes a decline in cognitive function. There is no cure for dementia, but there are treatments and therapies that can help to slow the progression of the disease and improve quality of life. Unfortunately, these treatments can be very expensive and he was just let go from work due to inability to do his job of 15 years.  Our insurance policy will cover some of the costs associated with Russ's care, but it will not cover everything. We are also facing the prospect of having to make some difficult decisions about his future, such as whether or not to place him in a memory care facility. I know that times are tough for everyone right now, but any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. Your generosity will help us to provide our dad with the best possible care and support as he battles this disease.  Thank you for reading and your consideration for our hurting family.  If you are unable to help, please share our story.  Thank you again.  Emily, Hailey and Christie Foster.
