A Well Overdue Update

Sorry that I've never officially updated y'all. A part of me hoped that I would do so once I had good news, and I have come to accept that this update is mostly good. Things are getting better.

My seizures are down to roughly one per month, and usually are minor enough to only require one dose of my prescribed Diazepam and not a full ER visit. This is thanks to the hard work of my primary care doctor and the now 7 different medications I take every day. Unfortunately the medication plus my physical state makes me unable to work at standard job both in person and at home.

Speaking of a home... I currently don't have one. While I did have other options, they all involved moving far away from the great doctor network I have set-up here in Austin, so I made the decision to move into a shelter. Thanks to this and various charity programs across Austin and Travis County, I have a roof over my head, three meals a day, a bed to sleep on, medications/appointments covered, and most other basic necessities. I'm working with pro-bono lawyers to ensure my disability application process will hopefully be as smooth as possible, but the earliest approval that's expected is October. Once I get approved however, I'll immediately qualify for low income housing and be able to get my own place again.

Thank y'all again for all of your help last year and I hope things have been as well as they can be with everything going on. Don't lose hope y'all, and remember to keep rockin' it!
