Hi, my name is Lucas. I’m a current full-time premed student and a part-time EMT in California. It’s hard for me to admit, especially publicly, but I was a victim of an extortion scam involving a sensitive video that resulted in the loss of a significant amount of money. I have already filed the proper reports with the police and the online FBI website. The actual person who extorted me I have stopped talking to. I don’t mean to beg, but I have fallen to this point and if anyone is able to assist, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m sorry to have to ask, but I genuinely don’t know what to do. I’m scared, I’m disgusted by myself, and I’m ashamed to the point where I can’t tell my family. Though I’m working, to get back what I lost would take a very long time as I only make $18.50 an hour and I can’t find another job because of my classes. Any help is greatly appreciated.
