This is for my grandfather, his name is Dennis Skinner. Dennis was a career and volunteer firefighter for 30+ years in the state of Maryland, spending majority of his time rushing into danger so people like you could make it out. After retiring from active duty in the fire department, he continued to help the community, as well as the state of Maryland as president of the Maryland State Fire Association, served in the ladies auxiliary doing fundraisers and serving the community, as well as maintained several other titles up until 2021. He lived and gave his life to helping others around him and in his community, and now we're asking if some of you can help him back. Due to the time serving and his exposure to chemicals and certain biohazards, he was diagnosed recently with a aggressive type of cancer, AML. This type of Leukemia is a silent invader but a fast killer. Now he has a chance to survive, but not without critical treatment that will cost him $30,000 dollars out of pocket that his insurance will not cover.
