Noah is starting this fundraiser for his father during one of the hardest moments their family has ever faced. Noah loves his dad deeply, and after years of distance, all Noah wants now is the chance to be with him and support him through this fight. Before life pulled them into different places, Noah’s father was well known in the Apopka area as someone people could count on. Troubled motorists would regularly break down near his shop, and he would help them and not charge them. He was the kind of person who cared more about helping people get back on the road than making money from them. Even after he closed his business and moved out of state, that never changed. He continued helping people in his new area however he could, even without opening another shop. He still fixed and sold cars, worked for a few different shops, and kept being the kind of person others could rely on. 

After Noah’s father moved, Noah was able to visit for the first few years, but work conflicts and starting a family eventually led to more than 10 years without seeing him in person. Last month, Noah finally got to spend 10 days with his dad. During that visit, it was clear that he was not well, and on Noah’s last day there, his father began coughing up blood. After Noah had to return home, his father’s wife took him to the hospital, where the family received devastating news: a pulmonary embolism and stage 4 lung and bone cancer. 

Now Noah is trying to do the only thing that feels right: leave his current employment and move to be with his father. Donations will help cover lost income, moving expenses, and the costs of getting established in a new place while setting up outpatient care and supporting both Noah and his father until Noah can build income again. His father’s dream was to build his own house, and he was very close to finishing it, but since this illness, all progress has stopped. It is heartbreaking to see how far he got and know he may not get to finish it himself. Please help if you can.
