On May 13th 2025,I was admitted to the hospital for an infection in my right foot.

It was determined that the infection was untreatable,and was rushed my ambulance to Crouse hospital in Syracuse NY.

The specialist surgeon told me.my right foot could not be saved,and I would have to have it surgical removed or the infection would eventually kill me.

So the right foot was removed above the ankle, because the infection had spread that far.

I spent a week in ICU, being in IVs,which consisted of antibiotics,etc.

They transferred me to Van Duyn center to start rehab.where I am still here after 3 weeks,do not know when I will be able to go home.

It will take up to 4 months before I can be fitted for a new prosthetic foot ,and anywhere from 6 months to a year to learn to walk and get back to a semi normal life.

Have no insurance, waiting to hear from Medicare, Medicaid, which hopefully will help with medical bills.

I received one bill already which was $12,000 for just part of the surgery.

Social security I applied said could take up to 4 months,if approved,or denied

Applied for food stamps, emergency services,but everything has to be in person 

In the meantime my other bills are not being paid,have no one that can help,or willing to help.

Not able to work,or do not have any source of income. Financially and emotionally broken, toughest decisions I have ever had to make, losing a foot is a life changer.
