A message from Sarah’s family:

Hi, my name is Amanda, and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Sarah Mitchell—an incredible mom of three, a loving wife, and the kind of person who remembers your birthday even if you forgot hers.

Last month, Sarah was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. It has already spread to her liver and lungs. Everything happened so fast—from mild stomach pain to a diagnosis we never expected. She’s only 36.

Sarah has always been the strong one. She works full-time as a teacher, bakes cupcakes for every school fundraiser, and somehow still finds time to volunteer at the animal shelter. She never asks for help.

Now, she needs it.

The cancer is aggressive, and doctors are recommending a mix of chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and—if we can afford it—a clinical trial that may extend her time with us. Unfortunately, even with insurance, the medical bills are piling up fast. Some treatments aren’t covered at all. On top of that, Sarah had to stop working, and her husband Jason has taken unpaid leave to care for her and their kids.

Travel to and from the treatment center

In-home care and childcare for the kids

Basic expenses as the family adjusts to this devastating diagnosis
