I just returned to South Georgia to get away from the abusive lifestyle created by combining drugs, recovery, and a parent that's vengeful up to the point of threatening life. I just came here from Florida with my almost 7 year old. I lived in south Georgia approximately 2 years ago and actually had to leave due to similar circumstances of coming back. I filed for a divorce from my possessive husband in 2022 after I filed and left the home he began using hard drugs. After some lovely lies and an existential crisis, I was alone and scared so I returned to my husband in July of 2022 I don't know where he was using drugs at the time but knowing something wasn't right. By August I myself began using the drugs. The situation became hostile and life-threatening when he became under a spell of delusion where he thought I was running an underground adult company and refused to allow my sunrise to leave until I gave him passwords that I didn't have to accounts that I didn't have. For the suitcase under the bed for 2 weeks I was finally able to get out we left South Georgia February 22nd of 2023. Unfortunately, because my mother's drug use, she became a completely different person. Since July 2nd 2024 my son and I were mostly separated after I found my mother fondling him while he was asleep. At 2:00 in the morning I put him in my broke down car and drove to the nearest gas station until the tire was completely off I waited for him to wake up, and I sent him to my grandparents where he would be safe. I stayed in my car since then seeing him as much as I could… a broken arm, a scarred chin and a lot of trauma… here we are back in south Georgia. I previously had a vehicle it was a 1999 Honda CRV but I left it in Florida because the radiator had cracks and bust all along the seams and I couldn't get it to go more than 3 mi at a time. We caught a ride with a family member on their way to Tennessee who dropped us in Leesburg Georgia. As of right now we're technically homeless I haven't gotten the job yet because things aren't conveniently located and I'm afraid to walk the streets alone. I am expelling all of my funds and I pay by the week hotel and just reaching out for anybody that could possibly help me.
