About this fundraiser

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit Honey’s Road to Recovery page.

Honey is a beautiful, gentle soul who truly feels like an angel sent at just the right time. The Goana family has been facing their own difficult journey, and in the middle of it all, Honey came into their lives when they needed her most. After weeks of searching for her owner and no one coming forward, she became part of their family—bringing comfort, love, and light during a very challenging time.

Recently, Honey's new dad underwent eye surgery, making daily life more difficult and uncertain. Through it all, Honey Bun Maple has already begun to show just how special she is. The family plans to train her as a service dog so she can provide ongoing support, companionship, and care when it’s needed most.

But now, Honey needs help.

She began showing signs of illness—coughing, loss of appetite, and extreme fatigue. After a veterinary visit, she was diagnosed with heartworm disease. It’s serious, but treatable—with time, care, and significant expense.

The family is determined to give Honey the chance she deserves, just as she has already given so much to them. Her treatment will require three heartworm injections, each costing approximately $1,000.

If you feel it in your heart to help Honey on her journey to recovery, any donation—no matter the size—means the world. Your support will not only help save her life, but also help her become the service dog this family so deeply needs.

Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support. God bless.

Updates will be shared along the way, and we are happy to answer any questions.
