Unfortunately, we have not found a way to send individual thank you notes (still looking) but THANK YOU to all of you wonderful people - we are clearly in a community together. It has made a tough time better and will help others like Rocky.

Rocky Desjardins was a cat who loved his people.  He loved sitting on their laps.  He loved sitting in the sun, sometimes chasing leaves or birds.  

And he loved (we feel sure) the fact that millions of people felt better every time they saw him sitting calmly in the background of reporting on PBS NewsHour. He was born to be a star.

After a tough battle with kidney disease, Rocky passed away March 11, 2025.  He was surrounded by his family, love and warm blankets.  We miss him already.

But viewers' love of him has meant the world to us. (And earned him extra treats.)

Rocky was a rescue kitty.  In tribute to him, we invite people to donate to an excellent animal non-profit in West Virginia, which is working hard to build a new shelter.
