Janet McCollum is facing her third battle with cancer, and this time it’s an especially aggressive form—triple negative breast cancer. As her husband, I’ve been by her side through every challenge, but this diagnosis has brought new hardships for both of us. I recently lost my job and, at 67, it’s been difficult to find new work, especially with my own health concerns. Despite these obstacles, my priority is making sure Janet receives the care and comfort she needs.

The costs of treatment, medications, and daily living have quickly added up. Our insurance is now limited to Medicare, which leaves many expenses uncovered. We’re struggling to keep up with medical bills, insurance premiums, transportation to appointments, and even basic needs like food. Every day is a fight—not just against cancer, but to keep our home and provide Janet with the support she deserves.
