Latest update as of Sep 30, 2023

  • Just trying to keep this fresh. I am finally gaining more strength to type things out. I will be going home today to recover and finally reunite with my family. What lies ahead for us is terrifying financially in ways even worse than when Vivan was in the hospital. In this case, the one down for the count has a family to provide for. Since I have been in the hospital, I have not been working, and will not be wble to resume work for several weeks once I go home to continue my recovery. We went down in the process to one income without any notice that is about 30% of normal (e.g., When Becca’s paycheck comes next week, it won’t even cover full rent while depleting it 100% (her paycheck will cover up to probably $300 short of rent, which is typical, my income usually filling that gap). I have no PTO at all, and we aren’t eligible for a lot of safety net style programs). How this is going to happen is frightening, but I literally cannot work right out of the hospital. I can barely walk from the bed to the bathroom without a long rest and a lot of pain. If you are able, even if it’s not a large amount, please donate so we can get our family through this.

About this fundraiser

Sunday, September 17th Josh collapsed and unconscious at his home while cooking dinner with his wife, Rebecca. With her quick reacting she dialed 911. With Josh's high blood pressure and extremely high blood sugar they rushed him to a nearby Hospital.

It was discovered Josh has an infection and is bleeding internally. He has had over 20 blood transfusions and at this moment being rushed into emergency surgery. Josh is a gig worker who will miss a lot of work. There is no medical insurance, sick time, PTO, or vacation. Not to mention the household bills piling up and now an enormous hospital bill.

Please help us by sharing this fundraiser. If you can donate even just $1. I know this family would be more than appreciative.
