Supporting Leah’s Medical Journey
Leah was recently diagnosed with ANCA-associated vasculitis MPA, a rare, chronic autoimmune disease. That causes inflammation in the small blood vessels in your body. This inflammation can reduce blood flow, impacting the organs. This disease has impacted Leah's kidneys and also caused bleeding in her lungs. This diagnosis requires ongoing medical care, hospital visits, and specialist treatment.
We are asking for the community’s help to support Leah and her family during this difficult time.

On Thanksgiving Day, our granddaughter Leah became sick. After multiple doctor visits, her mother was told Leah had coronavirus and an ear infection.
Over the following weeks, Leah continued to struggle with extreme fatigue, no energy, and becoming very pale. Concerned, her mother took her for blood work on December 18th.
Later that night, around midnight, Leah’s mother received an urgent call from the on-call doctor advising her to take Leah to the emergency room immediately. Leah was admitted to the hospital, where she underwent many tests.
After extensive testing, Leah was diagnosed with a rare, chronic autoimmune disease called ANCA-associated vasculitis.
Just one day earlier, on December 17th, Leah’s mother tragically lost her job of 15 years, making this already difficult time even more challenging for their family.
