Recently, my husband started having a lot of odd symptoms, throughout this journey we have discovered he has severe sleep apnea, obstructive and central. He was put on a bipap, and the symptoms continued to worsen. He got an echocardiogram and an ultrasound which showed severe aortic valve stenosis and an aortic root dilation. We were sent to the cardiothoracic surgeon who explain he has a congenital heart defect causing him to have a bicuspid valve instead of a tricuspid valve. His heart is struggling and he desperately needs surgery to fix the problem areas. 

He has been a law enforcement officer for 18 years and is currently the Undersheriff of Lincoln county. We have 4 children that need their father to stick around longer. 

Heart surgery is not cheap. The cost will be $400,000 to $500,000 and we will be required to pay a large portion of that.  As a small town Undersheriff and deputy, we couldn't even dream of making that much money, so we have put pride and everything else out the window and are asking for help.
