I am humbly asking for help to Care for My Grandmother, Lois Wolfe

My name is Walter, and I’m reaching out with a humble and hopeful heart for my grandmother, Lois Wolfe. She is 80 years old and the most kind, loving, and faithful woman I have ever known. She has spent her life being a light to others always giving, always caring and now she needs that same love in return.

My grandmother is currently facing multiple serious health challenges, including breathing problems, kidney and bladder issues, early-stage dementia, and heart complications. She is in the process of seeing several specialists out of town in the coming months, but the journey has been overwhelming physically, emotionally, and financially.

She lives with me, and I am doing everything I can to care for her. But the reality is, our expenses have become more than we can handle alone. Between rent, medical bills, medications, groceries, and the cost of traveling to out-of-town hospitals for emergencies and doctor appointments, we are struggling to keep up. There have even been times when we’ve had to delay getting her medications because we simply couldn’t afford them in that moment.

Although nurses are able to visit during parts of the week, she needs more consistent daily care. Unfortunately, her current Medicare coverage does not provide what she truly needs, and we are in the process of applying for a Medicaid waiver but the wait is still months away. Until then, we are left trying to manage everything on our own.

The funds raised here will go directly toward:

A regular caregiver and nurse to help with her daily needs

Rent and essential living expenses

Medical treatments, hospital visits, and specialist care visits.Medications and healthcare supplies

Groceries and fuel for travel to appointments

This has been an incredibly stressful and heavy season for us, but our faith in Jesus Christ continues to keep us standing. All I want is to make sure my grandmother is safe, comfortable, and cared for with dignity during this time.
