Big Surgery Day

Zara is getting her main tumor resection surgery tomorrow in New York. The surgeons name is Dr Enrico Danzer if you will pray for him, that his hands be guided to safely remove ALL of zaras tumor.
The main tumor originated on top of her right adrenal gland. He told me the surgery should take around 12 hours. He plans to remove the right adrenal gland, any enlarged lymph nodes he sees or feels and possibly the right kidney but he's hopeful we can save that. Some of the tumor is wrapped around major veins and blood vessels of the heart, which is scary to hear. He feels he can safely get 95% of the tumor out but we need prayers for the supernatural and he is able to get 100%. If anything is left behind it can grow back and spread again. This cancer is very very aggressive.

The good news is her body seems to be responding to the chemo well. In her updated CT scan she had last week we saw the tumor shrunk a significant amount. Jt started at 12cm at diagnosis which is larger than a grapefruit and is now 4cm. Some of her lung nodules and liver Mets have also shrunken or disappeared completely. Another positive.

But we are not through this yet, we still have a bit to go and need all the prayers we can get for her strength. She is getting stronger day by day.

She walked last week for the first time on her own in 3 months! God is good. He is answering our prayers
Even if it's not as fast as my momma heart wants, I'm grateful for everyone reaching out and sending all the love and support and prayers our way.

I'm posting a progress pic below the right image was diagnosis. Left image is currently. You can see how large the tumor started and how big it is now.

I will update again once we get thru this surgery.
