Miss Molly just turned 12 years old on Jan 4th. 
On Jan 6th we got the results of her cytology for the two growths on her foot - One is a round cell plasma cell growth, which is most likely benign (thankfully!). The larger one is a mast cell growth, and neither the Vet nor the lab were able to determine exactly what it is because the cells are abnormal. The Vet is still pretty confident that it’s cancer, they just need to determine what kind and if it has metastasized. 
They need to remove the round cell growth, and at the same time they will remove the mast cell growth and send it off for a histopathology to determine what it is - then we can figure out next steps.

She also has a broken tooth, which if left untreated, can lead to infection and just like with humans, that can turn into more serious issues and potentially lead to death. 
She has a care plan which does give a bit of a discount, but the total cost for all of this is still estimated up to $3200. 
My credit took a downward spiral after the house fire 3 years ago, and then again when I lost my job in 2024. Although it’s gotten better the last 6 months, I do not qualify for Care Credit or other loans, and simply don’t have the extra income.

My hope is to get the dental work taken care of and get the growths removed so she can at least  continue to have a good quality of life for the remainder of her time, however long that may be. 

As hard as it will be, if it is determined that cancer has spread, I will choose not to put her thru any aggressive treatments and instead will just do what we can to give her the happiest life, filled with chicken nuggets and pup cups.
