On February 15, 2026, my life changed when I was diagnosed with stage 4 chronic kidney disease while in the hospital. This diagnosis meant I had to begin dialysis, and my doctor advised me to stop working because of the demanding treatment schedule and the needs of my two young kids. My husband has been doing everything he can—working, making sure I get to and from dialysis, and handling all the bills—but the medical expenses are more than we can manage. Every appointment brings high co-payments, and the cost of my medications is overwhelming.

Getting help would take the financial burden off me and my husband, so we wouldn't have to worry about how to pay for my medical bills, medications, and transportation. It would also help us provide for our kids' needs and allow us to focus on my health and our family, instead of constant financial stress.
