About this fundraiser

Most recently our Oma (Jocelyn) found out that her breast cancer has unfortunately returned. She is navigating a stage 4 metastatic breast cancer diagnosis and currently undergoing treatment To help slow progression. In true Oma form, she‘s described the diagnosis as having “cancer glitter” and she’s pushing through like a warrior!
It goes without saying that cancer and treatment takes a huge toll on the body. Oma is having a hard time with mobility and neuropathy/limb pain, which hinders her ability to participate in too many things that she loves. In an effort to keep her out and about with grandchildren, family and friends we’d really like to get her a scooter that fits her needs.
Ideally, the Travelscoot, being incredibly lightweight, compact and “all terrain” friendly would make everyday travel and special adventures with family much easier for her.  (If you aren’t familiar with it, look it up, it’s pretty cool! https://travelscootusa.com/the-escape/ ) It is not typically covered by insurance so we are looking for support from family and friends to help cover the purchase.

Facing the reality of cancer is hard enough, let’s make it easier to get Oma on the move!
