On February 24, 2026, our lives changed in an instant. My husband, James Holley, was involved in a severe motor vehicle accident in Andersonville. Due to the extent of his injuries, he was airlifted to the Atrium Trauma Center in Macon, GA, where he remains under critical care. James suffered a traumatic brain injury, including both a subarachnoid hemorrhage and a subdural hematoma. He has 7 fractured ribs, a fractured sternum and is awaiting surgery, a broken clavicle, multiple spinal fractures in his neck and thoracic spine, and a severe right femur fracture that has already required surgery. He also sustained a liver laceration, a collapsed lung, acute kidney injury, and a scalp laceration. The road to recovery will be long and uncertain. He faces additional procedures, ongoing intensive care, and extensive rehabilitation. James is the sole provider for our family. I am staying faithfully by his side as he fights to heal, which means time away from work and mounting financial pressure during an already overwhelming time. We are asking for help to support James and our family with medical expenses, household bills, travel costs, and the long recovery ahead.
