Unfortunately, on January 4, I broke my ankle in many places. Thankfully, my husband was home and was able to carry me to the car so I can get to the hospital. I am not working at this time. I have the most amazing job so thankfully, I get to be home to heal. My healing process does not seem to be going very fast. I am currently wheeling myself over to the stairs to drag myself up the stairs, wheeling myself around the kitchen and that’s about all I can do now. I will be eligible for short-term disability, which would cover 60% of my income but only up to the max of $750 per payday, which is a huge cut in my income along with all of the other things that are adding up from being home. I am paying someone gas money to take my daughter to dance, my husband Out Of Town most of the time and your help would be greatly appreciated. I never have asked anyone for help for myself I’m always looking out to help others ….and I actually need to reach out for that helping hand instead of being the one to do the helping. this is a very hard ask for me and it took a lot of sleepless hours tonight to finally do it. Thank you for your support and for everyone that has reached out to check on me. I appreciate it. I’m still stuck on the couch with my leg elevated up. Surgery went well about six or seven breaks all different kinds. I don’t even know how many pins and plates are in there until my next appointment on Tuesday. She didn’t come out after surgery and tell me anything I just got sent on my way.
