My father, Roberto Rodriguez, is my best friend and the strongest person I know. He has always been there for me, teaching me to be strong and never give up, no matter how hard life gets. Now, he is facing the toughest battle of his life—he has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, stage 3 kidney disease, lung cancer, and high blood pressure. His health is declining rapidly, and every day is a challenge for him and for our family. 

It breaks my heart to see my father in so much pain. I am also caring for my brother, who suffered a stroke and brain hemorrhage four years ago and is now on hospice care, unable to walk or talk. My father has always been our rock, setting a good example and giving us strength. The thought of losing him is overwhelming, and the depression is heavy. He has shared with us that he feels he may only have a few months left with his family, and I am cherishing every moment we have together. Memories of my childhood—learning to ride a bike, playing baseball and soccer, and racing with my dad—come flooding back, making this time even more precious and painful. 

We are asking for help to cover daily living expenses and to prepare for any unexpected needs that may arise in the coming weeks and months.
