This is the Sawyers, Prisca, Phillip and their daughters Kirri, Katara and Saya. In June of 2025 Prisca went in for her very first mammogram only to be called back same day for more tests. A double biopsy was scheduled five days later and the results showed she had breast cancer. An appointment with a specialist was made where the news was given she would have to lose both of her breasts. This news came amongst grieving the death of her father and planning of his funeral as well as coordinating a community event her husband's shop throws for a chosen charity every year. August 7th a double mastectomy is scheduled and recovery will be around six weeks. There will be a reconstructive surgery in the near future that may require multiple operations and extensive unpaid time off of work. Prisca also acquired a knee injury during this time that will require surgery after the reconstructive process is over. This will significantly impact them financially (medical costs expected upward of 15,000) and place extra burden on top of the emotional toll fighting cancer brings. This family loves to love on people and do what they can to help those around them. We are asking you to do the same for them now and help them in this very difficult time.
