My Father, Leon, has hernias that are covering his abdomen. He isn't able to work because of how bad they are, but was also denied disability and medicaid/Medicare because it isnt a blue book disability. We cant afford to hire a lawyer to fight the case and by the time we got one and got disability for him, it would most likely be too late. He is allergic to the mesh that they usually use and must have the no mesh repair done. The surgery itself will cost almost $40,000 and the rest of the funds we are trying to raise are for travel to the surgeon that can repair his abdomen and get him back working and living life again.
