About this fundraiser

Dear Community,

Our sweet friend Amanda is facing a series of health challenges and needs our help.  After she finished nursing school, she became very ill with late-stage Lyme disease, babesia, and complications from being misdiagnosed for too long.  She also had a debilitating injury to both of her shoulders and she's been unable to lie down or sleep in a bed for years.  She's been having some puzzling symptoms that are worsening every week.  She is in excruciating pain and is struggling to sleep sitting up.  While she was making progress with one of the medical conditions, she began rapidly declining with the other one.

She is in the process of seeing more specialists who are trying to find answers and relief for her, but at the moment, finances to support this continued search have become an issue.  Amanda’s insurance is only covering a portion of the care, and she is unable to afford some of the doctors, treatment options, and travel expenses that could help lead to a conclusive diagnosis, along with a path to recovery.  Over the years, her family has taken on a lot of debt from her medical bills, and now the financial burden has become too big.

We are reaching out for your help.  Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, and all prayers are welcome.  To allow Amanda and her family to conserve their energy during this overwhelming time, we kindly ask that you refrain from reaching out to them directly.  If you are a close friend who Amanda is already in contact with, please continue.  For everyone else who wants to give support, here are some ways you can help…

-Share the fundraiser link with family and friends via text, email, Facebook, etc.

-Send a card (message Danielle for details)

-Lift Amanda up in prayer

Because we want to respect the family’s privacy, these are all the details we can share right now.  We want everyone to know that your presence here and the support you give means the world.

With gratitude and hope,

Thank you for walking beside Amanda during this time
