My name is shana Casto, I am 26 years old. On July 20, 2024 I had a terrible high-speed rollover accident and was ejected from the vehicle landing flat on my back about 25 feet from the truck. That's when my spinal cord injury journey began. I'm doing my best to adapt to life at wheelchair level.. but alot of days are very rough. I am asking for funds so that I can get the equipment that I need in order to keep my legs healthy even though I cannot feel them. The equipment can also maybe make it possible for me to be able to walk again. Another reason I'm asking for funds is for widening the doors in my home, and making the shower handicap accessible. As of right now I can not even fit through my bathroom door in my chair and let me tell you, it really sucks. I appreciate every penny I get. I know that if I am able to get the funds to get the equipment and things I need that it would make it so much easier. And I'd have a way better chance of walking again.
