My husband Tony was recently diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimers. It was caught early, so his stage is “Mild Cognitive Decline”. He's on medical leave from his teaching job, but will still receive his salary & benefits through the end of August. At that point he'll be on disability coverage.
Starting in July, we'll be traveling to Maple Grove (2 ½ hours away) every 2 weeks for medical treatments. There will be expenses for gas, meals & days we'll need to stay in a hotel.
