Hello my name is Sara, I’m 33 years old mother of a 15 year old boy and I’m married to my best friend. We have 2 dogs that are the bestest boys if I do say so myself. For the most part I would say my life is as close to perfect as one could get, I’m just not financially where I need to handle this. That being said I am a type 1 diabetic with stage 5 kidney disease.  With the support of my friends and family I’m hoping to get a kidney transplant. I’m working closely with all my doctors to reach my goal, I want to live and be there as my son grows up into adulthood. There is still so much I wish to do and see in this world. 

In April of 2023 I found myself in the hospital for a week do to my kidneys failing. When I was brought into the ER I thought I was going die. Thankfully I did not and now I’m on the road to make sure I live as long as possible. Learning to work with this disease has been hard but nothing I can’t take on with the help of my family and friends. Between all the new medications, appointments and complications the doctors feel my best bet is to receive  a kidney transplant and hopefully avoid long term dialysis.  

With your help, and the help of everyone around me I know I am one step closer to reaching my goal of getting a kidney transplant. Know matter how little or big, everything helps! Thank you, thank you from the bottom my heart. I can not reach my goal without you.
