About this fundraiser

Campaign Title: Justice for Baptiste: Memorial T-Shirts to End Gun Violence

Campaign Organizer: Julie Lambert / Baptiste Lambert Family

Location: Rosebud Reservation, South Dakota

Goal: $2,500 (To cover 200+ shirts, printing, and initial distribution)

Remembering Our Beloved Son and Rider: Baptiste Lambert (2001-2025)

Baptiste Lambert was a light in our community—a proud Sicangu Lakota relative, a fierce competitor in the bareback bronc arena, and a young man with a future full of promise. At just 23 years old, his life was violently stolen by gun violence on our own land in 2025.

His tragic death is not just a personal loss; it is a painful symbol of the systemic failure of justice and safety that plagues Indian Country. We are turning our grief into action to protect the next generation.

The Mission: Wear the Message

We are launching the Baptiste Lambert Memorial Initiative for Safety and Justice. Our first step is to create and distribute Memorial T-Shirts across the Rosebud Reservation and beyond.

The funds raised here will be used to:

1. Print 200+ high-quality Memorial T-Shirts: The shirts will feature Baptiste’s name, his years (2001-2025), and clear calls to action like #JusticeForBaptiste and #FundTribalPolice.

2. Ensure Visibility: Distribute the shirts to family, friends, and community members participating in key events like the upcoming rodeo and school safety talks to raise awareness.

3. Launch the Scholarship: Any funds raised over the necessary printing costs will be directly allocated to the Baptiste Lambert Scholarship for Safe Leadership, ensuring his legacy supports future Sicangu students committed to non-violence.

Why T-Shirts?

These shirts are more than clothing. They are walking billboards that keep Baptiste’s memory alive and force the conversation about the gun violence crisis in our community into the light. When officials see us wearing them, they see our united demand for change.

How You Can Help

Every dollar moves us closer to justice and a safer future for our children.

• $25: Sponsors the printing of one high-visibility memorial shirt.

• $100: Funds shirts for a group of four community leaders attending a Tribal Council meeting.

• $250: Covers the distribution costs to get shirts to various districts across the Reservation.

Thank you for standing with the Lambert family and the Rosebud Sioux Tribe in this urgent fight for safety and accountability.

Wear the message. Demand Justice.

Pidamayaye (Thank you).
