Help Us Give Wayne & Goldie a Little Breathing Room

If you know my Uncle Wayne, you know he knows everything.

Sports stats? Absolutely.

1972 Wilt Chamberlain’s game average? Leonardo da Vinci’s estimated IQ? Horse racing odds? Somehow, Wayne knows.-however, that doesn’t necessarily mean you should bet on his horse pick!

He has always been one of the funniest people I know.

He loves sports, learning, going out to eat, riding around town, going to the racetrack—and most of all, his family. .

ALS is changing all of that.

Wayne was diagnosed less than five years ago, and the disease has progressed to the point where he can no longer do things for himself…even getting out of bed is a thing of the past. His wife of 45 years, my Aunt Goldie, is his primary caregiver.

Goldie is doing everything she can to care for the man she loves, but she has health problems of her own. They desperately need additional caregiving help, especially on weekends so he will be safe while Goldie runs errands.

And now the medical expenses have used up the money Wayne had carefully saved.

So we’re asking for help.

Not to cure ALS. We know money can’t do that.

We’re asking for breathing room.

A little help with caregiving and medical expenses. A little less worry about the next bill. A little more time for Wayne to do the things that still make him smile.
