Hello everyone,

This is one of the hardest things I've had to write, but our family needs help.

My partner and I have found ourselves in a financial crisis after a series of circumstances that were largely out of our control. We share our home with our dog and two cats, and right now we're doing everything we can to keep a roof over our heads and the lights on.

For some time now, I've been unable to work due to ongoing health issues. I've found myself in the frustrating position of being considered too disabled to work, but not qualifying for disability benefits. Three weeks ago, I underwent hip surgery, which has made even attempting to work impossible while I recover.

Throughout all of this, my partner has been our sole source of income. He has worked tirelessly to support us, but his job has been hit by the slow season, resulting in fewer hours and less income when we need it most.

Over the past several months, we've had to make impossible choices. When there wasn't enough money to cover everything, my partner would pay what he could toward rent or utilities, hoping we could catch up when things improved. Unfortunately, we have now run out of time and options.

At this point, we owe more than $3,000 in rent and approximately $1,200 on our power bill. We are asking for $5,000 to help us catch up on these essential expenses, avoid losing utilities, and keep our housing secure while I continue recovering from surgery.

We are not asking for help lightly. We have done everything we can to manage on our own, but we have reached a point where we simply cannot overcome this setback without support.

Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward paying our overdue rent and power bill. If you're unable to donate, sharing our fundraiser would mean the world to us.
