My name is Jennifer, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times my family and I have faced. After working at the same job for 11 years, I lost my position in November 2025. I was grateful to find new work in January 2026, but the pay is much lower, and it’s been a struggle to keep up. Shortly after, my reliable truck of 15 years broke down, forcing me to get a new car with payments I hadn’t planned for. Then, in June, I was admitted to the hospital with a subclavian artery blood clot and a large mass in my chest. I’m still waiting for a biopsy however PET scan has confirmed it is either thymoma or lymphoma, and the ongoing medical appointments have caused me to lose even more income. On top of my own health challenges, my daughter also has medical issues that require frequent doctor visits.

All of these setbacks have left me behind on bills, and I’m now at risk of losing my car and falling behind on my house payment. Some bills are already at disconnect notices, and my biggest priority is keeping a roof over our heads. Every dollar raised will go directly toward keeping our home and covering essential bills. I’m willing to risk losing my car if I have to, but I can’t risk losing our home.
