My name is Jennifer, and I never imagined I would find myself asking for help like this. But right now, my family and I are facing a situation that I simply cannot manage on my own.

After working at the same job for 11 years, I lost my position in November 2025. I was fortunate enough to find another job in January 2026, but the pay is significantly lower, making it difficult to keep up with the bills I was already responsible for. Not long after, my truck of 15 years broke down, leaving me no choice but to take on a car payment I had never planned for.

Then, in June 2026, everything changed.

I was hospitalized after doctors discovered a blood clot involving my subclavian artery, along with a mass extending through my chest and neck. Since then, my life has revolved around trying to figure out exactly what this mass is and how it can safely be treated.

I have undergone ultrasounds, CT scans, a PET scan, an MRI, and a biopsy. Despite all of these tests and procedures, I still haven't had the answers my family and I desperately need. The mass is in a complicated location, surrounded by major arteries and nerves, which has made getting a diagnosis and treatment especially difficult.

The next step is surgery, which is expected to happen soon. I have been told that I may be unable to work for approximately 4–6 weeks afterward, and that time off will be unpaid.

Even before surgery, I am already missing a significant amount of work because of appointments, scans, procedures, consultations, and everything else involved in trying to get answers. Every appointment means more time away from work and another loss of income.

Now I am facing something that scares me just as much as the surgery itself: I am at risk of losing my home and my car.

I am doing everything I can to keep going and keep working when I'm able, but I can't control the amount of time this medical situation is taking away from my job. I also continue to navigate my daughter's health needs, which means additional appointments, responsibilities, and expenses for our family.

I'm not asking for help because I want anything extra. I'm asking because I am trying to hold onto the basic things my family needs while I get through something I never expected to face.

My biggest priority is keeping a roof over our heads. Funds raised will help with our mortgage, car payment, utilities, groceries, medical-related expenses, and other essential bills while I am going through treatment and recovering from surgery.
