  • Update 2

    It's been almost a month since Kyle's accident, and we wanted to share another update with everyone who has been praying for and supporting him.

    Recently, we met with a neurologist here in Austin. While they confirmed that Kyle's recovery will be a long and difficult journey, they also emphasized just how fortunate he is to be alive and in a position where recovery is possible. Hearing that perspective was both sobering and encouraging. Unfortunately, we haven't been very good about taking photos, so please enjoy this one of us waiting to see the doctor.

    Right now, we're waiting for a follow-up MRI that will help determine the next steps in his treatment plan and give us a clearer picture of what the months ahead will look like.

    The good news is that Kyle continues to make progress. Some of the more severe pain and symptoms have slowly started to ease, and we're beginning to see more of his personality and liveliness return. Recovery from a severe traumatic brain injury is far from linear, and there are still many challenges ahead, but we're grateful for every small victory.

    Some other future steps in the next month or so will include mental health counseling and occupational/physical therapy. Please pray for wisdom and favor in the medicaid process. We learned you must wait at least 3 months post TBI before you become eligible for assistance and these are costly medical interventions without coverage.

    We are incredibly thankful for every prayer, message, visit, and financial gift that has been given. Your support is helping to lift a tremendous burden during this difficult season and has allowed Kyle to focus on healing.

    Please continue to keep Kyle in your prayers as we navigate the next phase of his recovery. We remain hopeful and grateful for the progress he has made so far.

    Update 2

Acerca de esta recaudación

On May 20, 2026, I was in a serious E-Bike accident while on my way to work. Because of the injuries I sustained, I have memory loss and still do not know what caused the accident. I suffered multiple skull fractures along with a brain bleed.

Right now, I am unable to work while I recover. There are many upcoming medical appointments and ongoing expenses ahead, and I could use help covering day-to-day bills during this season. I am incredibly thankful to be staying with a former SCR employee and her husband, who have graciously opened their home to me, but there are still financial needs as I focus on healing and eventually getting back on my feet.

Any support, whether through prayer or financial assistance, would mean more than I can say. I am deeply grateful to the Lord for protecting my life and giving me a new perspective as I work toward healing, recovery, and rebuilding my independence.

Thank you!

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
