I have been trying to find a way to make a new start for my son and I for several years now. I am in an abusive relationship with no way out. We are not physically abused, and are safe, but I have no help or resources to leave. My mother has passed away. My father is barely able to care for himself. I have a brother who lives 12 hours away, and is able to offer a place to stay, but I'm trying to not uproot mine or my son's life just yet. I do want his father to be in his life, and that would be very difficult from so far away. I have sought help locally, but unfortunately, there is little offered that isn't already being used by someone more in need. I do have a job as a caregiver, but it's been hard to save up enough to get out. 

    So, here I am asking for $5000 from strangers bc I don't know where else to turn. These funds would be going towards obtaining a home for my son and I. It would go towards any deposits for utilities and the home itself, plus first months rent, and anything left over will go towards furnishings, other necessities for us that I might not already have, and maybe to have a cushion for bills until I can get on my feet well enough to not worry. 

        I do appreciate any kindness shown and any help I may receive. I have made many plans over the years, and I'm hoping this is the one that will finally set me free.
