My liver failed suddenly 15 years ago, leaving me with 7% hepatic function and a grave diagnosis, rare Antiphospholipid Syndrome. It affects women mostly and still only 1 in 1 million are affected. A failed procedure left my liver completely ineffective with clots littered throughout my body. I am the sole provider for my gbaby and daughter. Since the pandemic I cannot afford my meds, which my insurance won't cover. One box is 1300.00 for 26 blood thinner syringes a month. I need 2 each month, 2600.00. I cannot afford the next 2 months, until my insurance switches over. I cried last nite because I cooked for my babies and I didn't eat because I have to choose between food and mess and without my thinners, my blood thickens, making eating or drinking unlikely..
