  • Chris Wallace heart transplant journey

Chris went for his second walk today. He has the Heart Pump balloon in his leg that goes to his heart to help circulate his blood flow. The Baylor Roberts hospital team came up with a special unit that lets patients get up for a bit. Chris was the first person to try this new device, and you can bet he was super excited about it.
Many Thanks to Baylor for being such a remarkable team !!

About this fundraiser

Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother, Chris Wallace USAFR, and his wife, Whitney. After a long 30 yrs and difficult journey with heart failure, Chris is at the stage in taking the next step toward a life-saving heart transplant.
On November 3rd, he was admitted to Baylor in Dallas, Texas, where he was placed on a specialized heart machine until a donor heart becomes available. This is both a hopeful and challenging time- the surgery and recovery will require Chris, Whitney and immediate family to stay near the hospital for an extended period before and after his transplant.
The cost for family to stay near him and the hospital
"lodging, food, travel, and day to day expenses"
In hoping to ease their financial burden we hope that we can count on donations so the family can put all their energy into what really matters- helping Chris get through this transplant and back to his fun self again!
We’re trusting God’s timing and grace through this journey, and we ask for your prayers- for Chris’s strength, his medical team’s wisdom, and for the gift of a heart to come at just the right time.
If you can give, any amount helps- $10, $20, or even sharing this page with others who might want to help means the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and prayers during this time. ❤️
With gratitude,
Cindy Hawkins and family
