I’m attempting to raise any amount of money to help pay off my medical debt caused by Covid-19. Last year I was diagnosed with Covid and I was so sick for a month that I actually thought I was going to die. I was in the hospital twice throughout that time period and being a 1099 contractor without health insurance this caused many problems that I’m still overwhelmed with. Those two hospital visits costed me $50,000 which was sent to a collection agency around 6 months which destroyed my credit and is now preventing me from obtaining housing. I’ve tried getting the debt removed and even attempted to negotiate payments in return for removal but no one is willing to work with me. I’m unsure what to do because I have no one in my life that I can turn too for help so I’m attempting to raise any amount of money that can help me get this debt removed.
