This will benefit my little family greatly. I set the goal lower than my total medical bills from an accident I had while working on October 16th 2024. I am self employed running a small tree service, I fell 50ft while climbing and getting ropes setup to dismantle a large oak tree that had fallen into some trees and got hung up over a driveway. I shattered my left calcaneus(heel), fractured multiple vertabrae in my back and snapped my wrist just below my hand. I have been out of work since the accident it is now March 2nd 2025, I just finished my last surgery last week and the medical bills keep coming totaling roughly 85,000 so far. I never could afford medical insurance for myself, nor could I afford workers comp insurance for myself. I hope to get back to work in the coming months and will have to endure some pain in doing so, but trying to pay a mortgage, regular bills, and operating expenses on top of slowly getting back to work is tough hill to climb. We did have a family member raise 14,000 for us when this first happened but over the course of 5 months this money has been exhausted and I havent been able to provide an income for our family yet. I do not ever want to ask for or recieve pitty its not the way I was raised but we do in fact need help.
