About this fundraiser

On February 26, 2023 I was drugged, raped, and assaulted. This horrible act resulted in a full-thickness tear of my left rotator cuff, post-concussion syndrome with visual disturbance (causing migraines and dizziness), and PTSD.

I have been seeing a psychiatrist and therapist since it happened. Both doctors agree that a service dog would be very beneficial. I found a wonderful organization called “Train a Dog Save a Warrior” that will help me train my own service dog.

I found an amazing 6 month old rescue dog through Faerieland Rescue (see picture). She has an amazing temperament and I believe she will be perfect. Her name now is Marie, but I am thinking about Foxy or Luna. We starte fostering her to make sure it is a good fit prior to adopting.

The cost to adopt her is $550. But there will be a lot of other expenses involve in her training. Equipment like her harnesses, muzzle (I alway muzzle train for the vet and in case of emergency), kennel (good ones are expensive), boots to protect her paws in the cold MN winter and on very hot days, plus more. There will also be a lot of expense for gas to travel to the trainer twice a week for 20 weeks. TADSAW has a trainer 1 hour from me, which I am very thankful for.

I am aware that people are sometimes wary of donating cash. If anyone would like to donate gas cards or other gift cards that is great also. I will make a wishlist soon. I would be so grateful for any donation to help with this. Thank you all ❤️
