In May of 2024, Chief was hit by a truck in Preston,MD. The man did stop and apologize but we never got any of his information. His injuries included a fractured growth plate in his right back leg and a factured hip joint in his left back leg. He has had 2 surgeries to fix his injuries.On September 24th 2024, we took him back to the vet for a checkup due to him limping and whining a lot. The X-Rays showed that the right back leg is 100% healed!! On the other hand, the hip joint they removed from his left back leg is growing back like a hook making it uncomfortable for him to put weight on it. We are asking for help to not only pay off his previous surgies, but to also pay for the $250 vet visit on 9/24 and for the decision the surgeon makes about the next surgery.
