I’m sure you all know about Michael J. Fox the actor from Back to the Future.

Well… this story is about Michel J. Fox the car.

Michel J. Fox is my 2005 Ford Focus, and he has been my loyal sidekick through everything. School runs, grocery trips, late-night errands, and most importantly… DoorDash deliveries, which is how I earn money right now.

Michel J. Fox has survived a lot in his career — Ohio winters, Toledo potholes, and more miles than he’d probably like to admit.

But recently, while out on an important DoorDash mission,(because people in Toledo absolutely need their McDonald’s at 11:42 PM)

  Michel J. Fox encountered his greatest enemy yet…

An Ohio pothole.

Not just a little bump.

The kind of pothole that makes you question if the road department accidentally left a crater in the street.

Michel J. Fox took the hit like a champ… but afterward he was definitely not feeling great. After having it looked at, the damage includes parts like the control arms and tie rod, which means he’s currently out of service.

Unfortunately, without my car I can’t DoorDash, which means I currently have no way to earn income.

The good news is the repair cost is about $400, which will get Michel J. Fox back on the road and back to work.

Anyone who knows me knows the last few months have been rough after our house fire on January 7th, and I’ve been doing everything I can to keep pushing forward.
