On March 24, my husband of 51 years had two major strokes, he's paralyzed now and has difficulty speaking and his developed dementia probably from the stroke. My husband is 84 years old. I'll be 74 next month. Of course we're retired on fixed income, but we were getting by pretty good, we had celebrated our 50th anniversary so we didn't really make elaborate plans for the 51st. We were just gonna do what we did overnight find a movie watch something on TV, we were discussing what we might watch that night when he stood up and fell over and everything changed in a split second our whole lives have changed. my husband is a veteran and I'm trying to see what benefits they can offer up got a secondary insurance to supplement his Medicare, but it's still not enough. I'm already getting bills. I don't like begging for money or help that was never anything I would ever do, but we do need help and that's what this fundraiser is for so thank you.
