Dear Family and Friends:

My mom, Marie, was diagnosed with breast cancer in March. My mom was a nail tech at a salon and she was loved by all of her clients. Even though she didn't know much English, she did her best and tried to get to know every single one of them. Seeing her put on a smile everyday to ensure her clients had a great time there was very heartwarming. 

Now, people get sick and deal with health problems everyday. We always tell ourselves, “It's not going to happen to me or any of our loved ones" but life comes out of nowhere and crushes that hope and turns your life around really quick. 

On March 15th, 2024, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, two weeks after my birthday. That was when I snapped into reality. Two weeks before that, we were laughing and enjoying ourselves and it just all felt so unreal. 

Seeing my mom lose her smile that she always had really broke my heart. She's the kindest and most warm-hearted woman I know and I pray everyday that she can get better and recover as soon as possible. 

I had to drop out of college and get two jobs to help my dad but we are unable to cover the cost of all the hospital bills and along with the future chemo sessions. My dad and I have been living very frugally and almost 80% of our paycheck goes to my mom in hope that she recovers as soon as possible. With our tight financial situation, we're very grateful for any donations, no matter how small. Anything will help and I hope that everyone will continue to support and pray for my mom.
